Scholarships

INSEAD offers merit-based scholarships to offset tuition fees for GEMBA candidates whose profiles will help further the programme's objectives as a vehicle for promoting international leadership and business practice. You can only apply for a scholarship once you have been accepted to the programme.

The scholarships available for the GEMBA are listed below:

  One of INSEAD's GEMBA missions is to increase the flow of women business executives into key educational gateways and business networks. This is achieved with monetary and mentoring support.

  INSEAD GEMBA Scholarship for National Diversity
  
  

  Candidates eligible for the National Diversity scholarship must be executives based in Southeast Asia, South Asia, Central Asia, the Middle East, Greater China, Central and Eastern Europe, Africa and Latin America.

  INSEAD GEMBA Scholarship for Cross-Cultural Understanding
  
  

  INSEAD also offers scholarships to candidates that have developed multicultural management capabilities through language study and extended periods away from their home culture.

  Candidates working for NGO, Government, Not-for-profit and educational institutions are eligible for this scholarship. The scholarship is designed to assist public service candidates, especially those in leadership positions:

  INSEAD and its GEMBA alumni are offering a Social Entrepreneurs Scholarship for Social Entrepreneurs who address pressing social problems with innovative and sustainable business solutions.

  Innovation creates new knowledge and technology that is central to value creation. INSEAD's mission and values include understanding, recognising and developing innovation, through teaching and research. This scholarship is open to all candidates.

  
  
  
  

Scholarship application guide

These scholarships are granted under various criteria, to candidates who demonstrate a financial need. Scholarships will be awarded by a committee composed of INSEAD GEMBA faculty and admission staff. No appeal process is offered.

If for some reason you do not join the original GEMBA class for which you have been admitted and you start your INSEAD GEMBA with a future class, your scholarship application(s) will not be transferred automatically. You will have to re-apply for scholarships offered that year and compete against the new cohort.

The EMBA Scholarship Committee can withdraw the scholarship award if your company offers you sponsorship for more than 50% of the tuition fees.

For all INSEAD scholarships we require applicants to provide accurate details about their financial situation. Please fill in the financial information form included in the scholarship application form.

Tapia Conference Scholarships

PLEASE NOTE SEPTEMBER 12 DEADLINE

Dear Community:

The Tapia Conference provides scholarships for students (undergraduate/graduate), post-docs and a limited number for faculty. Scholarships include conference registration, meals during the conference, hotel accommodations, and a reimbursable travel stipend. Tapia scholarships are generously funded by government and industry organizations.

To support the Conference goals of celebrating diversity in computing, scholarships will be reviewed and evaluated by the Scholarship Committee according to three, main criteria:

1) whether the applicant is a member of an underrepresented group
2) overall strength of the application and written essay
3) applicants level of accomplishment in computer science.

The Scholarship Committee realizes that an applicant's level of accomplishment in computer science will vary for different students, particularly graduate and undergraduate students; however, a commitment to pursuing a career in computer science is an important part of the Tapia Conference experience. As examples, grades, level research experience, and recommendation letters may each play a different role in indicating an applicant's interest in growing in the discipline.

Unofficial Transcript (Faculty are not required to submit a transcript)
Letter of Recommendation (to be uploaded by your reference; Faculty are not required to submit a letter of recommendation)

Scholarships | ITU - International Technological University | San Jose, CA

ITU offers scholarships to a select number of students every trimester. The application period is open the first two weeks of registration for each trimester. The scholarship awarded will be applied to the upcoming trimester's tuition.

Students are encouraged to complete and submit their application to Mr. Alex Peña, Academic Counselor, in the Academic Success Center, located on the 2nd floor next to the Admissions Office.

Dr. Shu-Park Chan Scholarship

The Dr. Shu-Park Chan Scholarship provides financial assistance to outstanding, qualified students in ITU's academic programs. Recipients will be awarded a tuition waiver of up to 9 units per semester.

Scholarship criteria:

• Must have 3.5 GPA or higher


• Resume


• Two letters of recommendations from Faculty


• Personal Statement (1-pg letter stating qualifications for scholarship)


• Scholarship Application Form


• ITU transcript (unofficial is acceptable)

Dr. Shu-Park Chan Research Scholarship
ITU's Research Scholarship is designed to support the growth of in-house research programs that meet the short-term and long-term mission and vision of the institution. Recipients will be awarded a monthly living stipend in an amount determined by the scholarship committee as well as a tuition discount (amounts are determined on a case-by-case basis).

There are a limited number of openings, based on department budgets allocated each fiscal year. Selection process is highly competitive.

Scholarship criteria:

• Must have 3.5 GPA or higher


• Resume


• Two letters of recommendations from Core Research Faculty


• Personal Statement (1-pg letter stating qualifications for scholarship)


• Scholarship Application Form


• ITU transcript (Unofficial Acceptable)


• Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in their field of research


• Must be actively engaged in a current ITU research project

Scholarship Approval Process
The Board of Trustees will approve the number of scholarships and stipend amount available through our budget approval process each year.

1. Applications collected during the first two weeks of registration will be gathered and submitted to the Scholarship Committee for review. The Scholarship Committee consists of:
   
   • Relevant Department Chair
   
   
   • Chief Financial Officer
   
   
   • University Registrar
   
   
   • Director of Human Resources
   
   
   • Associate Director of Innovation
   
   


2. A list of final scholarship recipients will be sent to the Academic Quality Committee for approval.


3. Scholarship recipients will receive a signed notice from the ITU Scholarship Committee one week before the first day of class.

Stipend Stipulations (from the Department of Labor guidelines)

1. The training, even though it includes actual operation of the employer's facilities, is similar to training that would be given in a vocational school.


2. The training is for the benefit of the student.


3. The student does not displace regular employees, but works under the close observation of a regular employee.


4. The student is not necessarily entitled to a job at the conclusion of the training period.


5. The employer and the student understand that the student is not entitled to wages for the time spent training.
