Madison Research Fellows - Level I
The Madison Research Fellows Program provides an opportunity for faculty from across all academic disciplines to enhance their new or ongoing research around a selected area or topic of study. This semester-long program invites members of the JMU faculty with various perspectives and from varied academic disciplines to participate in a small, intentional community where intellectual debate and cross-fertilization can flourish. Madison Research Fellowships are self-directed, self-facilitated groups. Minimally, group members meet twice each month for planning, discussions, guided readings, and/or presentations.
Fall 2013 Madison Research Fellowships
Madison Research Fellows - Level II
The Level II Madison Research Fellows Program allows alumni from Level I Fellowships to continue their MRF experience with funding support from the CFI. MRF alumni can apply for Level II funding to support progress toward defined goals related to the Level I experience. Funding is limited to $4,000 per fellows group, per semester and can support fellowship related travel, data collection, resource development, or other needs related to fellowship goals. Applications must include participation from at least 3 members of the Level I group. Each applicant group will determine the type of support needed to conduct the activities and achieve project goals (e.g., conference fees, books or resources, workspace, software, food). The CFI reserves the right to allocate resources based on appropriateness for project, equitable distribution of resources, and/or availability of funds. A committee will review applications and determine support. Level II Applications accepted on a rolling basis.
