The UCLA Graduate School of Education & Information Studies is proud to announce the new John Richardson Scholarship Fund. Named in honor of Professor John V. Richardson, Jr., who recently retired from a distinguished 35-year teaching career, the Fund will support a cause important to him - financial support for students.
The John Richardson Scholarship Fund will be awarded every academic year to an outstanding student in the Department of Information Studies. The Graduate School invites all alumni and friends to pay tribute to Professor Richardson for his leadership at UCLA and his many contributions to the information professions by making a gift to the Richardson Scholarship Fund. Gifts of all sizes are welcomed.
In addition, the GSE&IS Office of External Relations is soliciting notes from alumni who have studied with Professor Emeritus Richardson. Favorite moments, most important lessons learned, and other insights will be shared with Professor Richardson. Up to three of the notes and memories received will be selected as part of an upcoming story in , the online magazine of GSE&IS.
Submissions should be no more than 300 words or less, and sent to news@gseis.ucla.edu by Sept. 6. Alumni whose submissions are selected for publication will be notified by Sept. 13.
