Scholarships

One of the most important steps to obtaining a great education is finding a way to pay for it. These links will guide you through several financial support opportunities that can help your road to success!

Institutional Scholarships, such as the ones available through the Foundation for Seminole State, are awarded based on academic merit, special talent or other criteria established by Seminole State College. While students do not necessarily have to show need to receive this type of award, they must still complete a FAFSA and have the results sent to Seminole State. Institutional scholarships must be coordinated with other types of financial assistance and may reduce students' eligibility for federal or state need-based aid.

Private Scholarships are awarded based on criteria established by organizations and agencies other than Seminole State College. These awards must be coordinated with other types of financial assistance and may reduce students' eligibility for federal or state need-based aid.

Florida Bright Futures Scholarships are awarded by the Florida Department of Education (FDOE) for the Fall and Spring terms based on academic merit. (Summer funds may also be available, as determined by FDOE.) Funds cover up to 45 credit hours per academic year. Students must be enrolled in a minimum of six non-remedial credit hours per term to be eligible.
