DelVal Scholarships


The scholarships listed below are currently available at Delaware Valley College, and are listed in alphabetical order. If you have any further questions about a particular scholarship and eligibility, please call 215.489.2272 or email finaid@delval.edu for assistance.

    William H. Allison Endowed Memorial Scholarship
      The applicant must be enrolled as a full-time upperclassman majoring in biology, be in good academic standing as established by Delaware Valley College and in need of financial assistance. Recommendation by the department needed.

  • David Edward Bianco Award
      Contact: Learning Support Services (Segal Hall)
      Annual award given to a student with a disability. The recipient, through this award, shall use this opportunity in pursuit of the "quest for success." Any full-time student in good academic standing is eligible provided that he/she meets the qualifications of disability. Recipient is selected by the vice president of academic affairs and the vice president of student affairs in consultation with the learning support specialist. Individuals interested must initiate contact with Learning Support Services and complete the appropriate paperwork. The scholarship award and number of scholarships available vary.

  • Kathryne Blatt Horticultural Endowed Scholarship
      The student must be enrolled full-time as a sophomore, junior or senior majoring in horticulture. The recipient must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher and have an interest in pomology. The scholarship award and number of scholarships available vary. Recommendation by department chair needed.

  • The Frederic Blau '40 Endowed Scholarship Fund
      Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student in the year in which the award is made and maintain full-time status to continue to receive the award. Must be a promising student entering his/her junior or senior year and demonstrates financial need. Must be majoring in environmental design or landscape contracting and management, with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher. The scholarship award and number of scholarships available vary. Recommendation by department chair needed.

  • Edward W. Blosinski Scholarship Application
      Must be enrolled in an agriculture program, as a full-time sophomore, junior or senior in the year the award is made, must demonstrate financial need and must be a resident of Chester, Delaware or Lancaster county. A short essay that addresses career plans after graduation must also be submitted with application. The scholarship award and number of scholarships available vary.

  • Albert and Ann Blumenthal Endowed Scholarship
      Must be a full-time sophomore, junior or senior majoring in ornamental horticulture with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. The scholarships is awarded to the student demonstrating financial need with the highest GPA. The award can be renewed. There is one scholarship per year.

  • M. Isabel Bosserman Memorial Endowed Pre-Veterinary Scholarship
      This scholarship is to be awarded junior and senior years. A declared pre-veterinary major with the highest GPA at end of sophomore year (4th semester at DelVal) will be notified and must sign the wounded/injured animal pledge. The scholarship award and number of scholarships available vary.


    The Jane A. and George N. Carlin Memorial Endowed Scholarship
      Applicant must be enrolled full-time as a junior or senior agricultural business major. The scholarship award and number of scholarships available vary. Recommendation of department chair required.

  • DelVal A-Day Scholarship
      This scholarship is available for any student actively involved with A-Day who meets the minimum GPA requirement of 2.3. Recipients will be selected by the A-Day Committee. The scholarship award and number of scholarships available vary.

  • DelVal Benefit Grant +
      Based on financial need and academic standing. Awarded to qualified students. Renewal based on need and academic achievement. The scholarship award and number of scholarships available vary.

  • DelVal Board of Trustees Scholarship +
      Based on student's level of academic standing. Awarded to incoming students upon acceptance. Renewal is based on maintaining the GPA assigned to the award and full-time status. Please contact Office of Admission for more information.

  • DelVal Challenge Grant +
      Based on student's level of academic standing. Awarded to incoming students upon acceptance. Renewal is based on maintaining the GPA assigned to the award and full-time status. Please contact Office of Admission for more information.

  • DelVal Faculty Scholarship +
      Based on student's level of academic standing. Awarded to incoming students upon acceptance. Renewal is based on maintaining the GPA assigned to the award and full-time status. Please contact Office of Admission for more information.

  • DelVal Food and Agriculture Ambassador
      Must be a junior with at least a 2.8 GPA, demonstrate good communication skills and be able to carry himself or herself in a professional manner. Must be willing to put time and effort towards enhancing DelVal's image. Please contact Dr. John Plummer for more information.

  • DVC Golf Classic Scholarship
      Applicant must be an upperclassman in any major demonstrating financial need. Must have at least a 3.0 GPA. Each recipient who accepts this award is required to attend the reception immediately following the tournament, which is held the Monday after Homecoming, as well as the group photo appointment for the brochure. Failure to comply may result in the loss of the award. It is also required that the recipient write a letter of thanks to the DelVal Golf Classic Sponsors upon receipt of the award and submitt to the financial aid office.

  • DelVal Montgomery County Science Scholarship +
      Applicant must have applied and been accepted by DelVal. Must have a superior academic record in high school, must demonstrate financial need and have been an award winner in the Montgomery County Science competition. One $1,500 scholarship is awarded per academic year.

  • DelVal Pony Club Scholarship
      Multiple $1,000 renewable scholarships for Pony Club Members who rate C-1 or higher, with a minimum of 3.0 high school GPA or ranking in the top 30% of their high school graduating class. Recommendations and an essay are required. Scholarships are dependent upon the student maintaining a 2.5 GPA or higher at Delaware Valley College. Deadline for application is February 15.   • DelVal Presidential Scholarship +
      This scholarship is based on a student's level of academic standing and is awarded to incoming students upon acceptance. Renewal is based on maintaining the GPA assigned to the award and full-time status. Please contact the Office of Admission for more information.

  • DelVal Sibling Scholarship
      Awarded to siblings who are attending Delaware Valley College at the same time. This award is renewable as long as both siblings are enroleld at DelVal. The scholarship amount is $2,000; the amount of scholarships available per academic year varies.

  • DelVal State Officer FFA Scholarships +
      Student will be awarded $1,000 if they served as an FFA state officer. The amount of the scholarship varies; an unlimited number of scholarships ia available.

  • DelVal Textbook Assistance Fund Scholarship
      Student must be enrolled full-time as a sophomore, junior or senior at Delaware Valley College in the year the award is made, have applied for financial aid by completing the FAFSA for the upcoming academic year, be determined to be Pell Grant eligible and have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. The scholarship award and number of scholarships available vary.

  • Elson Endowed Scholarship
      Must be an incoming freshman at Delaware Valley College, majoring in chemistry and demonstrating financial need. The scholarship is awarded upon recommendation by the chemistry department.

  • The Friends of Equine Jasmin L. Edson Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund
      The student must be enrolled full-time in the year the award is made and must maintain full-time status in order for the award to continue. Must demonstrate a contribution to the equine program and maintain a minimum of 2.7 GPA. Also, must develop an essay on why he/she feels deserving of the scholarship to be read to the granting committee. The scholarship award and number of scholarships available vary.

  • Kimberly Ann Flosdorf Endowed Memorial Scholarship
      Must be an upperclassman, majoring in biology and in good academic standing as established by Delaware Valley College. Financial need may be taken into consideration. Scholarship awarded by department recommendation.

  • Ellery French Endowed Scholarship
      Must be an upperclass student, majoring in biology and in good academic standing as established by Delaware Valley College. Financial need may be taken into consideration.

  • Food Science Scholarship
      Must be an incoming freshman, majoring in food science. The amount of the scholarship varies.

    Craig Hill Endowed Scholarship
      Student must be a junior, majoring large animal ccience or dairy major at DelVal with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicants must have a record of significant extracurricular involvement in their academic department and the College. Applicants must submit a resume and a short essay of 500 words or less on their career objectives and why they are deserving of the scholarship. The amount of scholarships available each academic year varies.

    The Earl Hart Jamison Endowed Scholarship
      The applicant must be enrolled as a full-time upperclassman, be in good academic standing as established by Delaware Valley College and demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to a sophomore majoring in ornamental horticulture, but all student applicants who are strongly committed to achieving their goals will be considered.


    Kevin L. and Jacquelyn P. Keim Scholarship
      Must be enrolled as a full-time sophomore, junior or senior in the year the award is made with a major in biology, demonstrate financial need, and submit a on- to two-page essay describing your passion for the sciences/biology, work ethic and vision for your career. The scholarship award and number of scholarships available vary.

  • Liberal Arts Scholarship +
      Selection of recipients is made by the liberal arts department. The award is a $1,000 scholarship; the number of scholarships available per academic year varies.

  • Ned Linta Endowed Scholarship
      Award is based on athletic involvement, academic achievement and good citizenship, and is selected by Hall of Fame Committee. The scholarship award and number of scholarships available vary.

  • The Thomas G. Littlefield Ornamental Horticulture Endowed Scholarship
      Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time sophomore, junior or senior with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher, majoring in ornamental forticulture. Financial need taken into consideration. Recommendation by department chairperson.

    William H. Owen IV Memorial Endowed Scholarship
      Applicant must be a member of the junior class, with achievement in all-around college activities and a recommendation of the selection committee. Applicant must be a business administration major, with demonstrated need for financial assistance. The scholarship award and number of scholarships available vary.
  • Pennsylvania Farm Show Scholarship


    • The Pennsylvania Farm Show Scholarship Foundation will award cash scholarships to outstanding students who have participated in the Pennsylvania Farm Show. This is a highly competitive, prestigious grant program and to be considered it is important that the applicant adhere to the specifications and requirements of all application procedures.

  • T. Pelle Endowed Scholarship
      Available to a senior with a satisfactory academic average, majoring in large animal ccience, with an interest in the livestock industry. Must also submit a current resume and a short essay (500 words or less) on career goals and objectives and how they would impact the livestock industry.

  • Robert Sauer Family Endowed Scholarship
      To be awarded to a junior or senior who is enrolled as a full-time student in the year the award is made, in good academic standing as established by Delaware Valley College and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and demonstrate financial need. Must be an officer of the Student Government Association and must be nominated by Student Government and selected by the committee. One scholarship is available per academic year; the award value of each scholarship varies.

  • Michael C. Simone Family Endowed Scholarship
      Students must be enrolled as a full-time student in the college in the year the award is made, must be in good academic standing as established by the college and must be a business administration major. The award may be renewable. One scholarship is available per academic year; the award value of each scholarship varies.

  • Hank Swartz Memorial Endowed Scholarship
      Student must be enrolled full-time as a sophomore, junior or senior student majoring in dairy science and in good academic standing. The scholarship award and number of scholarships available vary. Recommendation by department.

T



    Elisie Tinivell Endowed Scholarship
      Recipients must be entering their freshman year at Delaware Valley College in the term the award is made, demonstrate financial need as judged by the principal of Saul High School and be from Manayunk or the surrounding area of Philadelphia. The scholarship award and number of scholarships available vary.


  • Vincent Family Endowed Scholarship
      Student must be enrolled full-time, have a demonstrated financial need and be an academically superior freshman majoring in plant science. It is recommended that a written "Thank You" be sent to the sponsor if awarded this scholarship. This should be done upon receipt of the award.
