International Festival


Activities

GLOBAL VILLAGE
Middle and high schools from various surrounding counties team with international students from the GSU Global Ambassadors Program to create educational country booths. These booths will form the Global Village which will represent several countries. Factual information, arts & crafts, and other educational activities will be available at each booth. Come see what the students create! Global Village Guidelines


"IT'S A SMALL WORLD"
Free international arts & crafts for children: World Map Puzzle, World Bingo, Chinese Lanterns, Languages/Calligraphy, Mexican Paper Flowers, Kabuki Warrior Mask, Global Village Search and International Storytime!


WORLD CRAFT BAZAAR
Purchase unique items from Haiti, Ghana, China, Taiwan, Kenya, Korea, Trinidad, and the Philippines!


INTERNATIONAL FOOD COURT
Sample international foods from various countries such as Argentina, Greece, India, Jamaica, Japan, Korea, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, and Mexico!


WORLD STAGE
Cultural entertainment will be performed on the World Stage including music, dance and more!

How to Volunteer

From I-16 (Macon)


Travel east on I-16 until you come to the Statesboro/Claxton exit (Exit 116). Exit right onto off-ramp. Turn left onto Hwy 301 North to Statesboro. Travel through three traffic lights until you get to the 4th traffic light at the Highway 301 Bypass . Take a right onto the bypass (Hwy 301 N.) You will stay on the bypass and go through 5 traffic lights (Akins Blvd,Lanier Drive, Highway 67, Brannen Street Connector, and Highway 80). At the 6th traffic light, take a right off the bypass (Hwy 24 to Oliver/Newington). Mill Creek Regional Park and Splash in the Boro are approximately 1 mile on the right (through 1 traffic light). Enter through the main (second) entrance.


Travel west on I-16 until you come to the Statesboro exit (Exit 127). Exit right onto off-ramp. Turn right onto Hwy 67 North to Statesboro. Travel on Hwy 67 North until you get to traffic light at the Hwy 301 Bypass. Take a right onto the bypass (301 N.). You will stay on the bypass and go through 2 traffic lights. At the 3rd traffic light, take a right off the bypass (Hwy 24 to Oliver/Newington). Mill Creek Regional Park and Splash in the Boro are approximately 1 mile on the right (through 1 traffic light). Enter through the main (second) entrance.


From Hwy 25/80 (Augusta/Swainsboro)


Travel east on Hwy 80. Upon entering Statesboro, travel to Hwy 80/301 North intersection (Raco gas station will be on the right). Continue through Hwy 80/301 N. intersection on Hwy 80. Go through 1 traffic light (Advanced Auto Parts will be on the left). At the next traffic light (Bright Ideas on left), take a left onto East Main Street (Hwy 24 to Oliver/Newington). Travel approximately 3 miles (through 2 traffic lights) and Mill Creek Regional Park and Splash in the Boro are on the right. Enter through the main (second) entrance.
